Gippsland Branch holds monthly meetings at different venues through out the year ,Details are posted on our web site and Facebook page.We produce a Monthly newsletter that all members receive,usually a few days prior to our meeting date outlining the Agenda for that months meeting or special event that month. We have a bbq each month that the club provides and discuss bird's in general. Along with making friend's and having a good time,the club also holds a raffle on the Day with a gift voucher for the lucky Badge holder. We hold two bird sales a year where members can sell there surplus stock. It is a great family environment along with people with the same interest in mind. At Christmas we have a break-up,always something special,along with a Christmas Hamper that is very nice.
Exchange Steward Our Branch Has an Exchange Steward who keeps a list of member's birds for sale which we update on a monthly basis and also lists of what is available from other clubs. We also forward our for sale lists to numerous other clubs and all this for no cost to members Service Items Our Service Items Steward stocks a comprehensive range of bird rings,hand rearing mixes,egg & biscuit,nest boxes and large selection of of bird related books and other items bird related. If members find an interest in other products that we do not stock we see what we can be done. All products are sold to members at a very competitive cost. We are a non-profit Organization.
Bird Sales
The The Gippsland Branch of The Avicultural Society of Australia and the Gippsland Cage Bird Society,each hold an annual Sale one in April and the other in July at the Warragul Exhibition Hall in Warragul It generates a place for member's to sell or buy and see a wide range of Native and Foreign birds. Our Sales Generally attract a very large following with sellers coming from all parts of Victoria. Also offered are a wide range of bird related products,nest boxes,leg rings,books,carry boxes etc. We also Provide a light tea available at the canteen again at a very reasonable cost. If all this sounds like you might have the same interest in birds along with making new friends and getting new ideas in a family friendly environment,then come to one of our meetings and see for yourself what we are all about.
